1. This site was created to encourage honest thoughts,
ideas, questions, feedback,
suggestions and encouragement between dentist. By all means,
speak your mind and don't be afraid. But we are all
intelligent men and women: there is no need for, nor will
any profanity be allowed or tolerated on this site.
2. It goes without saying but… never post any patient's name
. I even recommend when discussing patient issues, do not
mention your geographical location, possibly change the sex
of the patient in your discussion (if it doesn't affect the
details of the particular situation and case), change tooth
numbers, upper arch to lower arch, etc. Also, never mention
particular dates of treatment. Bottom line, always use your
head and keep HIPA laws front and foremost.
3. Photograph, audio file, and movie file uploading as well
as link insertions are
possible in the forums. I encourage you to take advantage of
these features and use them to your maximum benefit. Please
do not upload or link anything that could be construed by
others as obscene, pornographic, racist, threatening,
unethical or unprofessional.
4. When posting, please refrain from any profanity, verbal
abuse, emotional abuse, physical threats, racial slurs,
solicitation, or obscenity. Again, this is a professional
website. Please don't abuse it. Violators will be promptly
banned from any future use.
5. Signature spam/web-site advertising is not allowed unless
approved. A special "limited access" forum is
available for retailers, supply companies, professional
services, agencies, dental labs, placement companies,
Hygienist/Assistants jobs, etc. for non-dentists.
6. You may not post to instruct users to check their e-mail,
check their private message, or inform them that they've got
mail or a new PM, or any variant thereof.
7. Please don't solicit any external source to post on this
forum regarding their company, services, or products; or any
company, services, or products they are or may be associated
with without prior written permission from dentiststalk.com
8. Please do not post commission, referral or affiliate
links anywhere on the forum without prior written permission
from dentiststalk.com
9. Please do not post any message that directs others to any
pages at your own commercial web site, including
informational pages.
10. You may only discuss details about your company and/or
product offerings when the thread starter or poster has made
direct reference to your company and stated something untrue
or misleading, or something which clearly needs clarifying.
The response must be in direct reference to the point
discussed only and contain no added promotional information
and/or fluff. It is advisable when in the above scenario to
contact us first.
